Your deepest “Why” will give you the extra fuel you may need to keep talking to an audience even though you really want to hide behind a chair.
Take a moment NOW; find a piece of paper and pen; breath; begin writing about your biggest motivating factor. These may be things like: to provide for my children, to bring peace to the planet, to help people out of suffering, to contribute to humanity thru music. Whatever it is write it down, get familiar with it and know it!
When you have this “Why” in tact then you have an anchor that will prevent you from running away whenever you get uncomfortable or scared. When you are sharing your message in front of an audience, You will get uncomfortable, You will get wobbly, you will feel fear. However, if you always keep with your deepest “Why” then you can allow the discomfort to pass on thru like a passing wave.
You have a mission and your ” Why” will keep you on coarse leaving the fear, anxiety and discomfort as insignificant.
Focusing on Fear and discomfort can ruin a public appearance and can prevent you from engaging with your audience. Tune into your “Why” and see your best voice come forth!
