Have you ever felt like you were in a rush and dealing with a dead -line and boom something goes “wrong”?
It just seems to take your breath away and tighten your chest. I know quiet well from experience that this is NOT a great place to speak your mind or speak up!
So I want to offer you a different perspective.
Today I was in one of those moments where I was rushing around. I had my whole itinerary plotted out and it was timed perfectly. However, I didn’t plan for taking a wrong turn. AHHHh.
As I made my wrong turn I contracted and said a little “oh shit” to myself.
This time though I was on to myself and I said,
“What’s Right About This I’m not Getting?”
Instead of making myself “wrong”, I opened up to the possibility that maybe just maybe my awareness was guiding me. Weird right?
But it was AMAZING WHAT UNFOLDED NEXT!
As I opened to the possibility of the “rightness” of the situation I was opened up to the possibility of receiving something I wasn’t expecting. That something was a visit from my father who passed a year and a half ago.
I said to myself after I made the turn, “hmm, I am confuse -ed”. This was a funny thing my dad often said. Then right after that I felt my dad. He was in the car with me. Well, not physically but there. Do you know what I mean? Then I began to sing a new song. And then…. I saw a way to get back on track to where I was going that got me right back on coarse and to where I was going with 5 min. to spare.
The gifts of opening to possibility rather then contracting in stress are endless and mysterious. When you can stay open to the possibility of a situation there is more room to hear the inner whispers of your inner brilliance, your guidance and sometimes even a hello from behind the veil.
The space of possibility, rather then the state of contraction, offers the opportunity to voice your brilliance with ease.
Give it a try next time you think you did something “wrong”. Ask, “What is right about this I am not getting?”
I think you will be pleasantly surprised!!
All the best Brilliant you!!
