Here is a process you can use to resolve the depression that comes along with awakening:
Step 1 – Acknowledge the gap between your natural high vibration of love and the sensation of depression
Once you start to awaken you realize the joy and peace of your soul. Perhaps you are awakened to it through yoga or an inspiring book. Once you awaken to it the contrast to that joy keeps you from bliss. This is called the gap and it can create a discomfort some would call depression. Get clear on acknowledging this gap.
Step 2 – Acknowledge the sensation of love – make a sound with your voice that represents that
Now tune into that sensation of love. The vibration that feels like bliss where everything feels like it is going to be ok. Once you feel that deeply, intend for your voice to make a sound that represents that joy.
Step 3- Acknowledge the sensation of depression- make a sound with your voice that represents that
Now tune into that sensation that feels like the shadow, the density or the contrast to that joy. Perhaps sense the depression and where it may be living in the physical body or energy body. Then offer your voice to it and let out its sound (warning it may want to be grumbly and not pretty, let it be what ever it want s to be)
Step 4- Go back and forth between these two intentions and sounds
Visit both sensations and sounds, going back and forth with both. This helps you acknowledge the gap and the truth of what is really happening. The truth of you is love and there is a part that hasn’t caught up with that yet.
Step 5- Stay on the sound for depression until you here the voice shift
Now stay with the depression sound until the voice starts to shift. You will notices its natrual desire to shit to the love sound. Give it time and space to do this and eventually allow the shift to happen.
Step 6- Let out the sound of love
Let out that intentional love sound. Take it in. Smile as you sound it out. Come to the knowing that the gap is no longer there and you are the frequency of LOVE
You are creating vagal tone with your voice
This is a process I use during hard times. Not only does the voice help to process the shadow part that is leading to depression, the voice is also creating a vagal tone and helping the nervous system regulate. These two fold benefits will help you feel peaceful and joyous in no time.
